    • Come out and find out what YWiB is all about!  Speakers include Jensine Larsen, Founder of Worldpulse and Maili Wong, Vice-President of HSBC.  This event will be a great kick-off to an exciting year – with a chance to learn more about YWiB, meet our other members and the executive team!

    • Colin Bussiere from Freedom 55 Financial presents a workshop especially for students to learn how to budget effectively! It will be very interactive for attendees – simply send your finance questions to michelle@ywib.ca and have them answered by Colin at the workshop! The event will be a great opportunity for you to network, meet like-minded young women, and share your experiences, in a fun and interactive environment.

  • November 2009 | Speaker Session: Leadership Lessons from Influential Women in Business
    Talk candidly in roundtable sessions led by 15 senior business women and learn about their own personal lessons in leadership. Stay for a panel discussion with three influential business women who are helping shape the future of the local business community, followed by a networking luncheon.

  • January 21, 2010 | Entrepreneurship Panel
    One of our biggest and most exciting event happens at the beginning of Term 2 to help you stay focused, motivated, and inspired! This year’s Entrepreneurship Panel will feature amazing entrepreneurs from the local community who will be with us to talk about themselves and their business… and of course, YWiB UBC members will have the opportunity to ask as many questions as they’d like!
  • March 16, 2010 | Guest Speaker: Erica Pinsky
    Conflict in your workplace? Don’t worry! Author of Road to Respect: Path to Profit and founder of Erica Pinsky Inc., her self-named consulting firm, Erica will be on campus to present a workshop on respect and dignity in the workplace, and how we can all attain it! Members will have the option of sending in their personal questions (confidentially and anonymously) prior to Erica’s workshop so that Erica can answer them in person!

    Join YWiB & Aritzia in a conversation on balance in your personal and professional life. YWiB is very excited to host Sally Parrott, Senior Director of Marketing at Aritizia as our featured speaker for this evening’s event. She will be sharing her unique story as a successful woman in business and lessons learned along the way.

  • May 2010 | Wrap Up Party!

 Save the date! To celebrate YWiB UBC’s first year, we will be partnering with YWiB SFU and the Campus CEO Program to host a wrap-up party in the evening of May 14. We will be sending the details for this event shortly, and we would ask that you please keep your eye out for this invitation. This will be an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of our supporters, as well as recognize the accomplishment of our members.
