The AWAKEN Panel Session was a great success. A very big thank-you goes out to our speakers, Barbara Ross-Denroche, Jennifer Silk, and Catherine Martin for your inspiration, and to everyone who joined us for this fabulous event!
YWiB SFU Launch Party | September 2009
Our first event at SFU! This was a great way to kick off the very beginning of YWiB SFU. Our favourite parts of this afternoon included the wonderful speeches from Bob Elton (CEO of BC Hydro, Member of the SFU Board of Governors and proud YWiB Supporter) and Carla Culos (an SFU Alumni with a fantastic story and past Beyond Pink committee member), the presentation of the YWiB story by YWiB’s presedent Paulina Lipska, and of course, meeting YOU!
YWiB SFU Team Retreat | August 2009
What an amazing experience! The team retreat was a fabulous escape to Whistler. What a great way for the YWiB SFU executive team (and YWiB directors!) to kick off the start of our journey together, and get to know each other! Of course, our entire time in Whistler couldn’t be spent working away; we won’t soon forget the great meals our teammates prepared, and the exhilarating experience of river rafting!
