Mimi’s Story

my name | Mimi Hui

childhood ambition | To be a movie star

fondest memory | Travelling around the world with my family.

retreat | relaxing by the beach in a cabin somewhere.

wildest dream | build schools for improverished kids in China.

proudest moment | Camping 9 days straight with no water and electricity…and SURVIVED.

biggest challenge | Finding enough time in a day to balance work, volunteer, family/friends/love, and self improvement.

keeps me up at night | Not knowing what the future holds regardless of how much I prepare for it.

how I give back | Donating regularly to charities, fundraising and volunteering.

perfect day | a walk by the beach, good views, good book, good tea, good food, good company and good conversations.

first job | self employed at 9, taught my friends to make crafts and sold them around the neighbourhood.

favourite quote | “I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity.”—Gilda Radner
