This will be the first of YWiB’s Dinner Series events – discover what it truly means to have a brand that transcends first impressions, reputation and business. Learn how to hack your personal brand by learning from those who have perfected their to the word: the entrepreneurs.

This Dinner Series would be dynamic open discussion between you, your peers and 15 of Vancouver’s top entrepreneurs. You will discover how to leverage the world of personal branding in a entrepreneurship setting: dynamic networking, understanding your personal limits as well as what it means to be innovative. YWiB is proud to announce that the second session of the CampusCEO Coaching Program, facilitated by GhostCEO founder Chris Flett, will be re-launched in January 2011. Registration will be in Dec and the location is TBD. CampusCEO is open to all Basic YWiB Members.

Instead, YWiB will be having an exciting new unique program for the fall. Details to come! Stay tuned!

Ladies in Pink: YWCA Women of Distinction Awards

Recognized nationally as one of Canada’s most prestigious awards for women, the YWCA Vancouver Women of Distinction Awards honour women whose outstanding achievements contribute to the well-being and future of our community. The Awards also honor businesses or organizations that support the wellness and diverse needs of their employees through a separate “Innovative Workplace” category.

YWCA Vancouver is seeking Ladies in Pink volunteers for the 2010 Women of Distinction Awards. Roles include:

-Raffle ticket sellers
-Registration
-Silent auction monitors
-Set-up and clean-up

The event will be held Tuesday June 1,2010 at the Westin Bayshore 4:30 pm – 10:30 pm (times may vary depending on role).

Email wodvolunteer@ywcavan.org. A Volunteer Coordinator will follow up to confirm your role and time of arrival.

Ladies in Pink: The FWE Entrepreneur Affair

Previously known as the e-series Graduation Event, The Entrepreneur Affair, is an annual celebration of the accomplishments of the women entrepreneurs involved in our e-series Program. E-series is a course of entrepreneurial training sessions that runs each year from January until June for women entrepreneurs of high growth, leveragable businesses wanting to take their company to the next level.

We are on the lookout for Ladies in Pink volunteers to help with day time event set-up, greeting, registration, coat check, and silent auction for the June 3rd event from 1 – 4pm, 4 – 9pm, or all-day.

Ladies in Pink: Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Awareness Luncheon

April is cancer awareness month and what better way to help support the fight than to volunteer at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s 18th annual Awareness Luncheon on May 6th from 10:15 – 2pm at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver?

Ladies in Pink volunteers are needed to help with registration and 50/50 raffle ticket sales throughout the afternoon and will have the opportunity to hear Bif Naked’s personal story and learn about early breast cancer detection from Dr. Paula Gordon.

Light snacks/refreshments will be provided.

ITM-NSR Top Model Glamour Gala Dinner

The first International Top Model (ITM) event was held in 2005 and since then, has become one of the signature events in Vancouver’s fashion community. Each year, twenty model finalists are chosen to take part in a series of intensive training, leading up to an extravagant finale show at the River Rock Show Theatre in Richmond.

ITM, CHMB AM1320 and the BC Cancer Foundation are partnering together to host a Glamour Gala Dinner on July 8th, 2010 at Richmond’s River Rock Show Theatre , with proceeds funding research at the BC Cancer Agency. This year’s proceeds will enable the foundation to purchase a second PET/CT scanner for the cancer agency.

We are currently looking to fill the following Ladies in Pink volunteer positions:

Contestant assistants (*knowledge of spoken English and Mandarin an asset)
- July 3 – 5th, 9-6pm; July 6 – 8th, 9-11pm

Set-up, registration, raffle ticket sales, escorting VIPs for speeches/prizes
- July 8th, 3 – 11pm

Backstage model changers
- July 7th, 6:30 – 10pm (rehearsal)
- July 8th, 3:30 – 10:30pm
